Google Ads for locksmiths.
Make the right calls count.

Quips manages locksmith Google Ads around the jobs you can take: lockouts, vehicle keys and scheduled lock work. We connect campaigns, landing pages and available job records so you can see which calls become completed work. Page and tracking work are agreed in your scope.

How Quips runs
your locksmith Google Ads.

AI helps analyze searches and prepare improvements. Quips marketers review the findings and make the agreed account changes. Your office handles callers, confirms the job and supplies the outcome. Here is how that work connects.

  1. Check eligibility before building the launch plan.

We review your account status, business details and outstanding verification requests. Google requires Advanced Verification for locksmith advertisers in the US and Canada. A verified Business Profile is not a substitute. We identify the marketing changes needed; your business supplies the requested evidence and Google decides approval.

  2. Build around the jobs and hours you can cover.

We organize keywords, ads and pages around urgent access, supported automotive services and scheduled lock work. Separate budgets make sense when priorities, hours or economics differ; every service does not automatically need its own campaign.

We review location settings against your actual coverage. Google’s Presence option uses location signals, not a verified job address. Your office still checks where the work is and whether a suitable technician can take it.

  3. Make the call path work.

For new Search ads, we use responsive search ads with call assets and a matching page. We check the number, call routing, mobile page and staffed hours. Call assets do not appear on every impression, so the website still needs a clear call action.

Running older call-only ads? We review the transition before Google stops their impressions in February 2027. Google’s call-ad transition guidance.

  4. Optimize from search terms and job outcomes.

We review available queries, exclusions, match types, ad copy, schedules and spend alongside your job feedback. A repair request you cannot handle needs a different change from a suitable call that went unanswered. Brand searches are reviewed separately from new service demand.

We assess bidding against the quality of the conversion goals, rather than optimizing for every phone tap. See how we review search terms. Google’s report does not expose every query.

A lockout now.
A replacement key. A building to rekey.

Urgent access, automotive keys and scheduled commercial work have different questions, deadlines and economics. We give each a clear path from search to the service your team can deliver.

Home lockouts & rekeying

Urgent access and a planned rekey need different answers.

A locked-out caller needs to know whether you can attend. Someone moving into a house can arrange a rekey later. We separate those messages and review hours and coverage so urgent demand does not consume a budget intended for scheduled work.

Review: “how to unlock a door”

This may be DIY research, but intent needs the full query and available call feedback. We review DIY, training and employment searches without broadly excluding useful lock-repair or rekeying demand.

We align urgent campaigns with the hours your office can answer and your technicians can respond.

Locked Out of Your Home?

Call to check our service area and availability. Discuss your lockout and next steps.

Check service availability
After the click
For a lockout, show the real business, service area, staffed hours and a clear call action. For rekeying, explain the work you offer and how the customer requests a quote. Your team confirms authorization and whether the existing hardware can be serviced.
What counts as progress
We compare suitable calls with visits accepted and work completed. Repeated price refusals prompt a review of the page’s cost information and your office’s explanation before we raise bids.

Automotive keys & lockouts

A valuable key request only helps if you can do the job.

Opening a locked vehicle, cutting a spare and replacing all lost keys are different requests. We build messages around the makes, years, key types and programming capabilities your team confirms, rather than advertising every automotive service.

Review: “key fob battery replacement”

It may be useful work or a poor fit for your business. We use your service list and job economics to decide. We review battery, replacement and programming queries separately; a blanket negative for “replacement” could block the key work you want.

Unsupported-vehicle feedback helps us refine targeting and explain capabilities before the call.

Need a Replacement Car Key?

Tell us your vehicle make, model and year. Ask about supported key services and availability.

Ask about your vehicle
After the click
Explain supported services and whether the customer needs mobile service or a shop visit. Ask for vehicle make, model, year and whether a working key remains. Your team confirms compatibility and ownership requirements before accepting the work.
What counts as progress
We use your records of unsupported vehicles and key types to spot demand the campaign should not pursue. A long call about a vehicle you cannot service should not be mistaken for a qualified key-replacement lead.

Commercial lock work

Give a planned project room to become a quote.

A business moving premises or changing access may need an assessment, hardware details and an authorized contact. We separate this planned work from urgent lockouts so a slower quote cycle is not mistaken for poor lead quality.

Review: “commercial door installation”

The request may be for complete door installation rather than the lock or hardware services you provide. We review the full query and scope before excluding it. Access-control work belongs in the campaign only when your team confirms that capability.

An accepted estimate and collected job revenue answer different questions. Keep both visible.

Rekeying Your Business?

Discuss your site, locks and timing. Request a commercial locksmith assessment.

Discuss commercial lock work
After the click
Make the commercial service scope clear. A short inquiry can capture site location, requested work and timing; the office confirms the decision-maker and any assessment needed. Avoid implying a fixed price before the job is understood.
What counts as progress
We keep inquiry, assessment, quote, approval and completed work distinct. We compare groups of inquiries over the same period, allowing time for quotes to close, without counting each stage as a new customer.

Illustrative searches and ad concepts, not customer results or final Google ad assets. Separate campaigns need a reason: budget control, sufficient volume or different job priorities.

A caller needs answers.
Before a technician sets out.

For urgent work, the page should make it easy to call and understand who will answer. For a rekey or commercial project, it should support a useful quote request. Agreed landing-page work follows the service and the decision, rather than sending every ad to the homepage.

Show the real business and coverage.
Use the business identity, supported services, hours and area your team confirms. Keep the mobile call action easy to find. Do not promise a technician is nearby or available now without a reliable basis.
Explain price before the visit.
For variable-price services, show a typical total-price range that includes applicable fees and taxes, using figures your business supplies. Explain what changes the price and when the customer approves it. A low starting fee is not a substitute for the total-cost information.
Ask what the office needs to qualify the job.
Confirm location and job type first. For vehicle keys, ask make, model, year and whether any working key remains. Your locksmith team confirms capability, authorization, price and timing; the marketing form does not make those decisions.

Illustrative structure. Your actual business details and price ranges are required before a customer page goes live.

The ad opens the conversation. Your office confirms the service call and sets honest arrival expectations.

The phone rang.
Did the job happen?

A phone-button tap, an answered call and a paid locksmith job are different events. Call length can help classify activity, but it does not establish service fit or completed work.

Connect campaigns to the records you use.

We review your CRM, dispatch software or job log and agree what can be connected or exported. We check how a call can be matched to its job and outcome, what access is needed, and the consent requirements and limits. We confirm compatibility before promising an integration.

Where supported, qualified or completed-job outcomes can be imported into Google Ads. We choose which outcomes Google uses to adjust bids and keep earlier steps visible for reporting, so the same opportunity is not treated as several independent wins. Google’s phone-call measurement options.

From first call to paid work.

  1. Identify a serviceable request

Record the job type, area and capability fit. Keep unsupported vehicle keys, out-of-area calls and existing-job callbacks distinct. If we cannot match an inquiry to the ads, we leave its source unconfirmed.

  2. Separate acceptance from completion

Record whether the customer accepted the visit, whether it was cancelled and what actually happened. A dispatched technician is not proof of a completed job. Keep commercial estimates open until an outcome is known.

  3. Reconcile the job and payment

Match the completed service and collected revenue to the original opportunity where possible. Keep a second call about the same visit on that record. Track refunds or adjustments when supplied rather than leaving gross sales as the final outcome.

Let the reason guide the change. Too many unsupported vehicle requests? Tighten capability messaging. Suitable calls missed after hours? Revisit staffing and schedules. Completed jobs with excessive travel? Review coverage and job economics.

Illustrative workflow, not customer results. Quips uses agreed records and feedback; your team controls dispatch, pricing and service delivery.

Cheap calls can still
be expensive jobs.

A campaign can look efficient when it counts every call. The useful question is what you paid to acquire work your team completed, and what that work earned after delivery costs.

Illustrative example: $1,200 in ad spend produces 30 unique inquiries, or $40 per inquiry. Eighteen become accepted visits, but only 12 become completed jobs. That is $100 in ad spend per completed job—not $40.

Compare job types separately. An urgent lockout, a vehicle key replacement and a commercial rekey can have different parts, labor, travel and sales cycles. Use collected revenue and delivery costs; allow open quotes time to close before judging them.

These numbers explain the calculation, not expected results or a suggested budget. Include Quips fees and other acquisition costs when assessing profit. We agree ad spend separately from management, landing-page and tracking fees.

What to bring to the conversation

  • Your service mix, operating area, real hours and business verification status.
  • Supported vehicle keys and hardware, technician availability and jobs you want more of.
  • Your website, current ad setup and the hours someone answers inquiries.
  • Your pricing disclosures, current budget, dispatch process and completed-job records.

Bring what you have. We’ll discuss any gaps.

  1. Talk through the opportunity.

We discuss your priorities, current marketing and tools, then whether Google Ads management is a good fit and what needs a closer look.

  2. Agree the work and responsibilities.

Before work begins, the scope sets out deliverables, access, approvals, communication, ownership and fees. We agree the starting ad spend separately, along with any landing-page or tracking setup work.

  3. Provide access. Confirm the starting point.

We confirm verification status and check ads, pages, call routing and conversion goals. Your team supplies accurate business information and approves the service claims. Google controls ad and verification approval; we do not promise a launch date before those requirements are resolved.

Start with the service you need. A full website rebuild is not a requirement.

Locksmith PPC questions.

Can locksmiths run Google Search ads?

Yes, subject to Google’s requirements and approval. In the US and Canada, locksmith advertisers need Advanced Verification. General advertiser verification, Business Profile verification and Local Services Ads screening are not interchangeable. We review the account’s actual requirements before planning a launch.

What if our ads are disapproved or the account is suspended?

We review the stated reason, account history and the ads or pages involved, then agree the work we can support. Your business supplies accurate evidence for Google’s process. We cannot guarantee reinstatement or bypass a restriction by opening another account.

How much should a locksmith spend on Google Ads?

There is no universal starting budget. We assess your market, supported jobs, capacity and cost per completed job. A campaign that produces cheap calls but little serviceable work needs diagnosis before more spend. Advertising spend and Quips fees are agreed separately.

Do you use call-only ads?

New Search campaigns use responsive search ads with call assets and a useful landing page. Google removed the ability to create new call-only ads in February 2026 and says existing ones stop receiving impressions in February 2027. We review older accounts for that transition.

Can you work with our current website and dispatch software?

We review the existing site, access and job records first. The scope can include focused page changes and supported tracking connections or exports. We confirm what can be connected; a full website rebuild or a named software integration is not assumed.

Is this the same as Local Services Ads for locksmiths?

No. This service page covers Google Search campaigns with keywords, ads and landing pages. Local Services Ads have their own setup and screening requirements. We discuss that scope separately, and approval for one product does not establish eligibility for the other.
