How this website handles information.

Who we are

This marketing website is operated by Quips, LLC. For questions about this notice or your information, email drew@quips.com.

This notice covers visits to our marketing website, its interactive examples, inquiries and sales bookings. It does not describe data handling inside a customer application or connected advertising account. Trying an example does not connect your business accounts or authorize changes.

Information you share

Contacting us

The contact form asks for your name, email, optional business name and website, and a message. We use this information to answer your inquiry and discuss working together.

When you submit the form, your details go to Formspree to process the inquiry and notify us by email. The website does not save the form contents in browser storage. You can also email us directly.

Booking a call

The sales page loads the Cal.com calendar only when you select “Load booking calendar”. You can also open Cal.com using the direct link. Loading the calendar is separate from accepting analytics. Information you enter in the calendar is submitted to Cal.com. Your selected service and industry are included with the booking. The site does not save your booking answers in local storage.

Interactive examples

Calculators and walkthroughs use sample information or values entered in your browser. They do not send those values to a customer account or an AI service.

Storage and analytics

Your industry preference

Your selected industry is saved in this browser’s local storage to keep examples relevant across pages and visits. The site does not set an automatic expiry for this preference. You can change it in an industry selector, select “Home services”, or remove it by clearing this site’s browser storage.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and activity on this website. For visits identified as US-based, analytics can load without an opt-in banner unless you have opted out or Global Privacy Control is enabled. For visits identified as EEA- or UK-based, Google Tag Manager and Analytics stay unloaded until you accept through the consent banner or privacy settings. For other or unidentified locations, analytics stays off unless you choose to enable it in privacy settings. Turning off tracking does not prevent you from contacting us or booking a call.

Analytics can collect information about pages visited, interactions, referral sources, browser and device characteristics, and approximate location. Google receives technical information such as your IP address when your browser connects to its services. Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers to distinguish visits.

The website also creates interaction events for sales links, accepted contact inquiries and booking submissions. The event data created by our site code is limited to the action and, where relevant, the selected service or industry; it excludes names, email addresses and message contents.

Regional privacy settings

Vercel provides a country estimate from the connection’s IP address so the site can select its tracking rules. The site checks this on each page visit. Our privacy endpoint returns only the rule to apply and whether a Global Privacy Control signal is present; it does not store a location profile or send your IP address to a separate geolocation service. A VPN or proxy may affect the estimate. You can always turn analytics off using the footer controls.

Advertising

Google Ads, Meta and LinkedIn advertising tags are not currently installed. We do not enable advertising tracking through the analytics choice. Before adding those tags, we will update this notice and configure the required regional advertising consent and opt-out controls. Advertising tracking can involve sharing browsing activity for targeted advertising under US state privacy laws.

Privacy choices and cookies

We store your explicit choice, its date and the preference version in this browser. Analytics consent lasts up to 180 days. Opt-outs remain until you change them or clear site storage; we do not expire a refusal and silently re-enable tracking. This preference is used to honor your decision, not to track you. A US regional default is not recorded as your consent. Clearing site storage removes your saved choice and restores the default for your region.

If accepted, GA4 can set first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_* to distinguish visitors and sessions. Google's default cookie lifetime can be up to two years; this is separate from our 180-day analytics consent period and the 14-month user/event retention setting. When you reject or withdraw analytics, we remove accessible first-party analytics cookies. We cannot remove cookies held on another provider’s domain.

Service providers

These services receive information needed to provide their part of the website:

Email and calendar providers also handle messages and invitations sent through their services. External websites linked from this site have their own privacy practices.

How long we keep information

Our policy is to keep inquiries and sales-booking records that do not become customer records for up to 12 months after the last substantive contact or completed or cancelled meeting, whichever is later. Records needed for a customer relationship, a legal obligation or a dispute may be kept longer for that purpose.

Our Google Analytics property is configured to retain user-level and event-level data for 14 months without resetting user-data retention on new activity. This setting does not limit the retention of standard aggregated reports.

Your industry preference remains in your browser until you change it or clear this site’s storage; the site does not set an automatic expiry.

Your choices and requests

Select “Your privacy choices” in the footer to turn analytics on or off. For US visits, the control also says “Do Not Sell or Share” and opens the tracking settings. Advertising tags are currently inactive. Where an opt-in banner is shown, accepting and rejecting are equally available. Turning off active analytics reloads the page to stop the loaded tags, so finish any message first. Withdrawal does not undo processing that already occurred.

We honor Global Privacy Control by keeping optional tracking off, including when a previous analytics choice was saved. No opt-in overrides an active signal. Your choice applies to this browser and this site, not every device or external website.

You can manage cookies and site storage in your browser settings. Blocking or clearing them may affect saved preferences or features. Clearing cookies alone does not prevent new analytics activity on a later visit.

Google offers an Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported browsers. It limits Google Analytics collection in that browser; it does not stop information you send through a contact form, booking calendar or email.

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion or a portable copy of your information, restrict or object to certain uses, withdraw consent, or opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising. To exercise a right, email drew@quips.com. Tell us which inquiry or booking your request concerns and the action you are requesting. We may need to verify your identity before acting.

You can use an authorized agent where permitted by law. If we decline a request, you may ask us to review the decision by replying to our response; we will explain any applicable appeal or regulator complaint options. We do not require an account or charge a fee merely to submit a request, and will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

Do not include passwords, payment details or sensitive customer information in an inquiry or privacy request.

Visitors outside the US

Visitors identified as being in the EEA or UK receive an opt-in choice before optional analytics loads. Other non-US or unidentified locations have analytics off by default, with a choice available in the footer. Quips operates in the United States, and our providers may process information in the US and other countries.

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, optional analytics relies on your consent. We use inquiry and booking information to take steps you request before a potential contract and to pursue our legitimate interest in answering business inquiries. Hosting and security support our legitimate interest in operating and protecting the site. We may also process records to meet applicable legal obligations.

You may contact us about international processing and any applicable transfer safeguards. You may also complain to your local data protection authority, including an EEA supervisory authority or the UK Information Commissioner. Accepting analytics is not consent to waive your rights or a substitute for required international-transfer safeguards.
