Google Ads for landscaping companies. Find your next project.
Quips manages Google Search ads for landscape design, planting and hardscape installation. We connect campaigns, landing pages and available project records so you can see which inquiries become consultations and signed projects.
We use AI to help review searches and draft changes to keywords and ads. Quips marketers review the findings and carry out agreed changes. Your team confirms project fit, prices the work and keeps us informed as consultations become proposals and projects.
Choose the work worth promoting.
We review your account, tracking and services, then agree the project types and areas to prioritize. A planting refresh and a complete outdoor renovation can have different margins, estimating costs and sales cycles.
We check demand against consultation availability and installation lead times. A free slot for a designer does not mean a crew can start next week.
Build the path from search to project inquiry.
We set up or revise keywords, match types, ad assets, location settings and schedules. Agreed landing-page work matches each offer with relevant projects and a clear consultation step.
Before launch, we check forms, call routing and conversion goals. A page view or button click should not silently stand in for a suitable project inquiry.
Use search terms and your feedback together.
We review available queries alongside the reasons inquiries were accepted or declined. DIY plans, material shopping, jobs and maintenance requests call for different exclusions and messages.
We compare ad spend with consultations, proposals and signed projects we can trace back to the campaigns. We review searches for your business name separately from searches for a service, and review bidding against reliable conversion goals.
Lots of proposals but few signatures may call for better qualification or a closer look at the sales process. Good projects waiting for a decision need time. We use those distinctions before changing budgets, keywords or page copy.
A garden to redesign. A patio to build. A space to plant.
We match the search, ad and landing page to the work you sell. These three examples show how we shape the campaign and which project details your team uses to qualify each inquiry.
Landscape design & build
Start with the whole project.
Agree whether you sell design alone, installation from existing plans or a complete design/build service. Each brings a different prospect and estimating commitment.
“landscape design ideas” needs a closer look.
It may be inspiration rather than intent to hire. Review the actual query and resulting inquiries before excluding it; do not block all design searches because a few were DIY.
Give the design team room to qualify work before promising an installation slot.

Discuss your landscape project
After the click
Show the kind of spaces you design and build, your process and any consultation or design fee. Explain whether the first conversation leads to a site visit or a paid design stage.
What counts as progress
An in-area project that fits your service, scope and budget expectations, with an agreed next step. A design inquiry is not yet an installation contract.
Patios & hardscape installation
Show homeowners the patio you can build.
A buyer comparing paver patios needs to understand your installation work. Keep the offer distinct from material sales, furniture and standalone repairs you do not provide.
“patio pavers for sale” is different from “paver patio installers”.
Review shopping terms, supplier searches and unwanted job types. Use precise exclusions so you do not remove useful installation searches that mention the same material.
Confirm whether the prospect wants a new installation, a replacement or a repair before using that inquiry as evidence of campaign quality.

Paver Patio Installation
Make space for outdoor meals and time together. Ask about our patio work and the steps to a project estimate.
Talk through your patio plans
After the click
Use relevant completed patio work and explain how size, access, existing surfaces and preparation affect the estimate. Do not advertise an installed price without a clear, supportable scope.
What counts as progress
A suitable project address and installation request that your estimator accepts for the next step. Track the proposal and signed project separately.
Planting & landscape installation
Reach people who want the work done.
Bed redesigns, planting installations and garden renovations differ from mowing or buying plants. Decide which project sizes are worthwhile for your crew and which services belong elsewhere.
“buy shrubs near me” may be a nursery visit.
Check whether searches are about purchasing plants or hiring an installer. If you also sell plants, separate that goal from installation inquiries instead of applying a blanket exclusion.
Use the actual local planting window and available crew time when setting expectations. Do not promise a start date from a generic seasonal calendar.

Ask about planting installation
After the click
Explain the planting work you offer, what preparation is included and how the site is assessed. Use your own projects and make any minimum scope clear.
What counts as progress
A request for work you provide, at a suitable property, with timing your team can discuss. Keep supply-only and maintenance inquiries distinct.
Illustrative searches and ad concepts, not customer results or final Google ad assets. Separate campaigns need a reason: budget control, sufficient volume or different job priorities.
Show the project. Explain the next step.
A patio search should land on a patio offer. A full garden redesign needs a different conversation. Within the agreed scope, we build or improve pages that help prospects understand your work and request the right consultation.
Use relevant work, with context.
Show your real, approved projects with useful details: the problem, scope and finished result. Keep concept renders clearly labeled. For a patio page, show patios your team has built, rather than relying only on planting photos.
Explain what happens before a quote.
Set out your consultation process, any design fee and what is needed for an estimate, using terms your business supplies. If you have a minimum project size or budget, explain it clearly rather than collecting requests you cannot take.
Ask enough to start a useful conversation.
Capture project location, the work wanted, timing and an approximate budget if appropriate. Make photos optional. Your team confirms site access, conditions, scope and feasibility; a form cannot price an unknown site.

Tell us about your project
Illustrative structure. Use your actual projects, service details and consultation terms before a customer page goes live.
Give your estimator a useful starting point. Your team follows up, confirms fit and arranges any site visit.
Follow the project. Beyond the first form.
A consultation, revised proposal and signed contract can all belong to one project. Keep them connected so three milestones do not become three new customers in your reporting.
Use the project records you already keep.
We check what your CRM or project-management software records and whether we can use a connection or an export. Before setup, we agree access, consent, how records will be matched and who keeps them up to date.
Where supported, offline conversion measurement can return qualified inquiries or signed projects to Google Ads. We agree which stage should guide bidding and which stages remain for reporting.
Long sales cycles need care: we check conversion windows and import timing. If a contract closes outside the supported attribution or import window, keep it in business reporting and consider an earlier reliable qualification stage for bidding.
From project idea to collected revenue.
Inquiry & consultation
Record the source where available, site, service, budget expectations and next step. Attach repeat calls to the same opportunity. Mark a consultation as attended separately from merely booked.
Proposal & signed project
Track the estimate, revisions, decision and reason for lost work. Keep open proposals pending. A signed contract records the customer’s commitment; it does not mean you have been paid.
Delivery & payment
Keep deposits, later payments, completed work and project costs distinct. Use a consistent project reference and dates. Leave unmatched records unassigned rather than guessing which ad brought them in.
Let the reason guide the change. Out-of-area projects suggest a coverage review. Inquiries below your project minimum suggest an offer or qualification problem. A long approval cycle needs a different response from either.
Illustrative workflow, not customer results. Reporting depends on available records, matching and the agreed scope.
What did it cost to win the project?
A low cost per inquiry does not tell you whether the work was worth pursuing. Follow the same group of inquiries far enough to see which became projects.
Illustrative example: $2,400 in ad spend brings 24 unique inquiries, or $100 each. Eight prospects attend a consultation, four receive proposals and two sign a project contract. That is $1,200 in ad spend per signed project.
The two signed projects still need delivery. Compare collected revenue with labor, materials, subcontractors and other project costs. Include Quips fees and other acquisition costs when assessing profit. A proposal amount, signed contract and payment are different records.
These numbers explain the calculation, not expected results or a suggested budget. Allow the same follow-up period before comparing groups of leads; this week’s open proposals are not automatically lost work. We agree ad spend separately from management, landing-page and tracking fees.

What to bring to the conversation
Your services, project area and the types of work you want more of.
Consultation availability, installation lead times and any project minimums.
Your website, approved project photos and current ad account, if you have one.
Your budget, inquiry process and records of proposals and signed projects.
Bring what you have. We’ll discuss any gaps.
Talk through the opportunity.
We talk through your goals, current marketing and tools to see whether Quips is a good fit.
Agree on the work and responsibilities.
The scope sets out campaign work, any landing pages and tracking, access, approvals, communication, ownership and fees. Your team handles designs, site assessments, estimates and project delivery.
Check the route from search to consultation.
We check account requirements, ads, pages, forms, call routing and conversion goals before launch. Your team confirms service claims and the next available appointments. We agree a starting budget and how your team will tell us which inquiries are worth pursuing.
Start with the service you need. A full website rebuild is not a requirement.
Do you manage landscaping PPC for smaller companies?
We start with the services, project area, budget and capacity you actually have. A smaller company may need one focused campaign rather than separate campaigns for every service. We discuss fit and scope before recommending the work.
How much should a landscaper spend on Google Ads?
Start with local search demand, likely click costs, your project economics and the number of consultations you can handle. There is no reliable universal landscaping budget. Use your own inquiry-to-project records where available, then agree a starting spend and review point.
Can you focus on design/build and hardscaping rather than mowing?
Yes. We agree the services to promote and reflect them in keywords, ads, pages and qualification. Broad landscaping searches can still bring maintenance requests, so we review actual search terms and your feedback. Recurring mowing and treatment programs are covered in our Lawn Care Google Ads service.
What if proposals take months to close?
Keep pending proposals visible and compare groups of inquiries after a consistent follow-up period. We check Google’s conversion windows and supported import timing before choosing an optimization goal. A later signed project can remain in business reporting even when it cannot be attributed back in Google Ads.
Can we advertise while our installation calendar is full?
Possibly, if you can take consultations for a realistic future start. We separate design and estimating capacity from installation capacity and agree the message with you. If neither can take more work, increasing inquiry volume is unlikely to help.
Is this the same as Local Services Ads or local SEO?
No. This page covers Google Ads Search campaign management. Local Services Ads and local SEO have different setups and responsibilities. We can discuss those separately; they are not automatically included in this scope.
